Advance Reservation Policy for Large Groups
Any member wishing to bring a group of more than 10 people (including members) to the club must make a reservation with the club management at least three (3) days in advance. The number of reservations that can be accommodated at any one time is subject to the discretion of the management. Members who fail to comply with the advance reservation policy are at risk of having their group turned away in order to ensure the safety and comfort of other club members and their guests. Members should recognize that the risk of having large groups denied entrance is particularly great on Saturdays and holidays. Members are asked to be courteous to other club members by working with the management in advance to schedule large groups at less busy times, and may be asked to cover the cost of an additional lifeguard during the requested time. For groups larger than 20 people, a private reservation may be required.
Babysitter Policy
- Applicable guest policy for babysitters is dependent upon the age and swimming competency of the children for whom the babysitter is responsible. As stated in the Swimming Competency Standard, any child under the age of 6 must be accompanied by a parent or responsible babysitter over the age of 16 while on the premises. Any children under age 8 who have not otherwise passed the Swimming Competency Test, must be accompanied by a parent or responsible babysitter age 16 or older.
- In Situations involving non-water safe children, babysitters regularly employed by members of the club do not require a guest fee while tending a member of the club and are not subject to the limit of 4 visits per month. In such situations, the babysitter is responsible for the supervision of non-water-safe children of the member and shall accompany those children into the water as necessary for their safety. The member employing the babysitter shall be required to identify the babysitter(s) to the club management and to execute an acknowledgment that the babysitter is legally responsible for the member’s children while the babysitter is tending them at the club.
- In situations involving water-safe children, where it is not necessary for the babysitter to accompany the children into the water, babysitters in street clothes do not require a guest fee while tending a member of the club and are not subject to the limit of 4 visits per month. Babysitters of water-safe children who wish to enter the pool are required to pay a guest fee and are subject to a limit of 4 visits per month. The member employing the babysitter shall be required to identify the babysitter(s) to the club management and to execute an acknowledgement that the babysitter is legally responsible for the member’s children while the babysitter is tending them at the club.
